Welcome to the e-safety home page
For parents and staff online safety is a recognisable issue that the children will face as they grow older. We would like to be able to teach them how to use online communication safely within the school environment giving them the tools to remain safe as they become more independent.
As part of ongoing development within ICT at Heaton Avenue and linked to the government's E-learning strategy, we have created personalised online learning spaces for children, initially in Years One, Two, Three and Four.
It will allow children to take part in class forums and they will be learning about the important do’s and don’ts of online communication within the safety of the classroom. The younger children will be able to incorporate text and drawings onto their web pages and the older children will be able to incorporate voice and visual content into their messages. Children will be able to access ‘DB Primary’ from home with parental supervision.
